The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1999. | Historical SitesDarius Heald HomeLocated in Fort Zumwalt Park, this 19th century home brings to life the beginnings of O'Fallon, reflecting the strong German heritage that established this community. Tours are available by appointment. A $2 per person donation is requested. Log Cabin Museum Civic Park is now home to this cabin built following the Civil War. The O'Fallon Historical Society runs this as a museum featuring photographs, relics, memorabilia, furniture and items from the Old Wabash Railroad Depot. Zumwalt's Fort The limestone chimney marks the spot of one of the few remaining ruins of a frontier home. Located in Fort Zumwalt Park, these ruins date back to before the War of 1812. MemorialsO'Fallon Veterans Memorial WalkAn ever-burning flame marks this striking dedication to all US soldiers, from the past and the present. These cast bronze boots in “marching formation” are a reminder to us all of the sacrifice made to protect our freedoms. Omer J. Dames War Memorial Named after World War I veteran and Missouri legislator, Omer Dames, this memorial was dedicated by the Jaycees in 1969 in honor of our fallen soldiers of the Vietnam War.
